After the massive success of our debut in our new homebase, the world famous Tresor Club, in July 2011, Berlins longest running event series for all things Bassline and Beat driven, Dangerous Drums, is "back once again" on the hallowed ground that is the Tresor Party Zone, with an International Line up of DJs who in their home countries of Russia, Poland, United Kingdom and Germany, are regarded to be amongst the best in their field ! The occasion for this coming together of some of the worlds most dedicated and accomplished artists from the Bassline, Beats and Techfunk scenes is to celebrate 3 Birthdays from 3 of the scenes most dedicated and active crews !

Wicked Tunes is the labor of love of Berlin based JayKosy. He has been an unrelenting Champion of these music styles and his passion for his mission to bring the sound he loves to more and more people has seen him forging friendships with the such renowned artists as Lady WAks from Russia , and Cherry from Poland . No surprise then that they both said yes without any hesitation, to be Jaykosy,s guests on his Wicked Tunes Birthday Bash @ Dangerous Drums on 29 dec!
Lady Waks is generally regarded to be the first Lady of Breaks, Beats and Basslines World Wide ! A Pioneering Graffiti Artist, Designer & Label owner, She is an all round modern media phenomenon. Based in St. Petersburg, Russia, Waks has been pushing her ideologies in music for a decade. Her various club nights and festivals have become a by word for quality in dance music circles. She started out in 1999 with her Hip Hop show on St. Petersburgs biggest radio station Radio Recod. Then in 2000 she left to focus her energies into promoting and creating the now well kown brand >In Beats We Trust<. Recognition came in 2004, when Time Out magazine voted it Best Club Night. IBWT has hosted just about every Big Name Dj from the relevant genres. Waks then went on to create Breaks Arena. The worlds first Breakbeat Festival. At the now infamous Black Sea festival "Kazantip" Waks, runs & co-ordinates arguably the Festivals best party in the form of the Breaks Arena stage.
Touring the world has become 2nd nature to the 1st Lady of Beats. From Miami to Brazil and China to Australia she has rocked them all. Along with Hardy Hard, Lady Waks has also made a name for herself as a producer. Releasing tracks on well known labels such as Menu Music and Bass Planet along with her own venture InBeatWeTrust music label. Lady Waks is the true definition of talent and hard work. Wak's focus at the moment is on her weekly radio show on Radio Record. This is still the first and only fully breaks & beats show in all of Russia.
Cherry aka BreakNtune - DJ, Producer, Label owner. Born in 05.04.1985 in Szczecin, Poland. he started to play music at age of 15... After a few years of experimentation he evolved his now hallmark sound – a fusion of House, Beats, Basslines & Electro – which has seen him establish himself both in his birth place Poland and Internationally as one of the best there is ! In 2005 he founded his project DIRTY FUNK, a name that has become synonymous with the very finest in cutting edge full on Raves and Essential Dance Music Events. At the end of 2006 he started to produce his own sounds. Since 2009 Dity Funk Records has been his outlet for his many self produced club trax ! it is fair to say that Cherry is to Poland what Lady Waks is to Russia : that two of the most dedicated and hard working innovators immediately said yes come and play at Jaykosy,s Birthday event for Wicked Tunes says a lot about JayKosy himself !
Meat Katie needs no introduction . After he delivered such a blinding set at the debut of Dangerous drums @ Tresor, and hit it of like a house on fire with Dangerous Drums Co Boss Dj Vela, it seemed a logical progression to invite Mark Pember to become International Resident at the event ! One of the acknowledged pioneers of TechFunk ( a fusion of the best elements of Breakbeat, Electro, Techno and Basslines ), Mark calls his sound today Bassline Techno ! This is the style that has propelled his LOT49 label to global fame and success, and has seen him become resident at the worlds leading events and clubs, like Tresor meets Dangerous Drums , and at the renowned and world famous Opulent Temple , one of the highlight’s of the annual Burning Man Festival ! Welcome back Meat Katie !
Multi:Mat celebrate their 5th birthday , although the team of Djs, Grafik Designers, Promoters and Organisers that make up Multi:Mat have been working together for many more years under different project names. A true thru and thru Berlin posse, hailing from Marzahn, they have amongst their many achievements , presented one of the stand out trucks for 10 years running at the Berlin Karneval Der Kulturen Der Welt, and have been partners of Dangerous Drums for just as long . We are always very happy to work with Multi:mat in the house, and for their 5th Birthday celebrations, we are very pleased indeed to be hosting 2 of their finest and most experienced dance floor experts Basskim and Stefan Krietsch.
Dj Vela will play directly after Meat Katie, at his express request ! When they played together at the Summer 2011 debut of Dangerous Drums @ Tresor, Meat Katie and all his UK Party People Posse who accompanied him to Berlin were lining up to heap compliments on her ! Meat Katie is not the first Major Artist to acknowledge Vela,s skills. Barry Ashworth of the Dub Pistols has long been a champion of her talent ! Velas career now into its 14th year has seen her busy Internationally, and as well as being Co Boss of Dangerous Drums, Berlins longest running Bassline event, she also co-hosts one of the most in demand shows (matruschkas tea time) at berlins most finger on the pulse radio station (BLN.FM). Resident in several of Berlins most highly regarded clubs, zb Tresor, Solar etc, she is also very in demand for her musical compositions and arrangements for some of Germany,s most famous Theatres. Clearly genuinely multi talented and clearly able to hold her own with the worlds best, on 29 Dec @ Tresor, Vela will be delivering the kind of Bassline driven earthquake that that has been turning heads, gaining fans and setting dance floors on fire from India to the Usa and from Russia to the Mediterranian and all points between, for more than a decade now !
ED2000 reckons he has fulfilled over 4000 Dj gigs since his club debut in 1979. He moved to Berlin from London in 88, just prior to the fall of the Wall, and has since 1993 been present on Berlin radio, non stop, including shows @ Kiss Fm, Twen Fm and now as Show host and Music Editor @ BLN.FM ! He also co runs the Dangerous Drums label, now in its 10th year, and is currently planning an international Dangerous Drums Tour for 2012. He recently accepted an invitation to become consultant for a Major International Music event happening in 2012 .
