“B. Inspirations VS. NYC Portraits“
The funky art happening ”Berlin Night Lights Stories“ celebrates its return to Lucas Carrieri Art Gallery;
For the second event, the chosen artists include; young and striving photographer Adriana Ortega from NYC and long in the photography game Heike Jänichen, as well as collage making projection wonder Yuti K. Feiler.
The audio entertainment is covered by Mike Starr. The renowned London Dj was a resident in both “Fabric“&“The End“ for years and has been spinning turntables all over the planet for quite some time now.
The concept is simple. Being bored with exhibitions were one art piece cost as much as five months rent, they ladies create an opportunity for the “poor yet sexy“ generation to be able to purchase their own piece of Berlin art to totally affordable prices. During the evening the guests will be able to acquire not only drinks from the charming and lovable bar staff, but also the pieces in the exhibition, which will be sold at affordable prices.
Do dress up as fancy as you can; with frills, lace, glitter, lots of color, less color, with high hair, with wigs and high heels or chunky boots and little hats. The concept is the Berlin night, so put your best dress on and use this wonderful evening, as a springboard to catapult you out into the dazzling Berlin weekend and night....

Ariadna Ortegas roots start in Paraguay, yet she grew up in Germany, Hamburg to be precise, only to move to New York City where she now studies at the prestige filled School of Visual Arts (SVA). She’s been taking pictures for as long as she can remember and on this night she’s showing a small part of her big collection of portraits, flown in directly from the big apple.

Yuti K. Feiler was born in a small village in the black Forrest. She’s been studying graphic design in Berlin and has traveled the world as well as lived in both the U.S.A. and in India. She’s a specialist in Slide projection, especially in big-format slide-projections on big outdoor buildings.
This Friday Yuti’s showing projections as well as her “Plattenbau”project; Collages made on/and of recycled wooden boards and magazines. She sits down for 30min. using her hands and when time’s up, she only allows herself to quickly finish of the wooden tile collage. She came up with this way of working, to get a break from the computer and its working well.

Heike Jänichen was born in the depths of the eastern German forests and. She has studied in both Germany and England and has found her calling within art photography. She has been doing commercial photography as well as art, yet now she takes mostly portraits. This Friday she’s showing photographic impressions from her recent stay in NYC.

Mike Starr, who recently changed London for Berlin, has been a four year resident at the Londoner clubs The End and Fabric for years. He has have played internationally in New York, Sydney, Salvador, Brazil, Belgium, Slovenia, Spain, Italy and of course Germany.
